I woke up really early this morning, and after many attempts
at forcing myself to go back to sleep, I got out of bed at 7:15am and got ready
for church. Because I was so ahead of schedule, I ended up getting to Gangnam
earlier than usual. I walked around the underground shopping area of the subway
for a bit while I waited to meet Abby.
Abby arrived just before 11, and we hit it off right away.
She’s a really great girl, and we talked all through lunch up until the church
service started. She’s from Canada, and she just graduated from college this
past May, just like I did when I first came to Korea. Abby really enjoyed the
church service and wants to come back and get more involved! I was really happy
to hear that!
After church, I showed Abby the bookstore across the street
called Kyobo Tower. She fell in love with it right away, as I suspected she
would. She said she wants to go back next week after she’s made a list of
school supplies she needs. So exciting!
I showed Abby where her bus picked up to go back to Suwon,
and I then headed into the subway. Now that I live in Seoul, it only took me 30
minutes to get home by subway, compared to the hour and a half it took when I
lived in Suwon. I’m super excited about that! I went straight back to the hotel,
and I’ve been relaxing ever since. I’m probably going to watch some movies and
eventually wander out for some dinner. I also need to get my stuff in order for
tomorrow. Training starts at 10am, and I want to make sure I know exactly how
to get there and have everything I need. Training should be interesting…wish me
luck!
